Refund Policy

Once a return is approved, we initiate your refund the same day. How quickly it lands in your account depends on your bank and payment method.

1. When the refund is initiated

  • For prepaid orders: within 24 hours of the returned item being received, inspected, and approved at our warehouse.
  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders: within 24 hours after we receive your bank account details (we'll request these by email after the return is approved).
  • For order cancellations before dispatch: within 24 hours of cancellation.

2. Refund timelines by method

After we initiate the refund with Razorpay, the money reflects in your account within the following typical windows:

  • UPI: 1–3 business days
  • Credit / debit card: 5–7 business days
  • Net banking: 5–7 business days
  • Wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.): 24–48 hours
  • EMI / Pay Later: 7–10 business days — the financier reverses the loan on the next billing cycle
  • COD: 5–7 business days after we receive your bank details, by NEFT/IMPS to that account

These are the typical windows quoted by Razorpay and the issuing banks. We can't speed up the bank-side processing — but we can check the status if it takes longer than these windows.

3. Where the refund goes

Refunds are issued to the same payment method you used to pay — that's a regulatory requirement we can't override. The only exception is COD, where we transfer to your bank account.

4. Partial refunds

If you return some items from a multi-item order, only those items' value is refunded. Shipping charges are refunded only if the return is due to our error.

If we deducted a reverse-pickup fee (for change-of-mind returns), it'll show up as a deduction on your refund.

5. Coupons & discounts

  • If you used a percentage coupon, you're refunded the net amount you actually paid, not the pre-coupon price.
  • One-time-use coupons are not reinstated for a fresh order after a return — please use a different coupon.
  • Loyalty / "Spotig Coins" credits used on an order are reinstated to your wallet within 24 hours of the refund.

6. Failed payments

If your payment was charged but the order failed to confirm (e.g. inventory sold out at the exact moment, or a Razorpay system error), the charge is usually auto-reversed by your bank within 7 working days. If it isn't, email us with the payment reference and we'll escalate to Razorpay.

7. Refund not received?

If you haven't received your refund within the windows above:

  1. Check your bank/credit-card statement (search for "RAZORPAY" or "SPOTIG").
  2. Confirm with your bank — sometimes refunds arrive but as adjustments rather than visible credits.
  3. Still missing? Email support@spotig.com with your order number and approximate refund initiation date. We'll share the Razorpay refund reference so your bank can trace it.

8. Disputes & chargebacks

Before raising a bank dispute or chargeback, please contact us — we resolve almost everything within 48 hours. Disputes filed without first contacting us delay your refund and add bank charges that we'd rather not pass on.
